Experts in intricate & demanding engineering casting using complex alloys

Norton Cast Products specialises in the production of high quality engineering casting for industry. We have the flexibility to accommodate a wide range of casting weights (from 1kg to 3000kg) and undertake every project with precision and speed. We believe in achieving manufacturing excellence through technical innovation, investing in specialised technologies such as ceramic coremaking in response to our customers’ requirements.

With an established reputation for quality and excellence, Norton Cast Products is the supplier of choice for complex engineering casting for use in major industry including power generation, offshore engineering, valve and pump manufacturers both here in the UK and internationally. We are approved by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) to BS ISO 9001:2008 and we hold a number of quality assurance accreditations from Bureau Veritas, BP, Standard Norway and DNV. In addition, Norton Cast Products are members of Make UK, The Cast Metals Federation and Made In Sheffield.

We Supply:

Duplex Stainless Castings

Duplex stainless casting refers to the process of casting components or parts using duplex stainless steel. Duplex stainless steels are becoming more common and are now offered by all the major stainless steel mills. Duplex stainless castings offer the unique combination of high strength, toughness and corrosion resistance, particularly localised corrosion.

Stainless Steel Castings

Stainless Steel castings offer excellent corrosion resistance and toughness even at cryogenic temperatures. The range of steels offered by Norton Cast includes martensitic, ferritic, austenitic and austenitic-ferritic ( also known as duplex) steel grades.

Colbalt Castings

Cobalt castings offer superior corrosion and wear resistance and thermal stability. Cobalt castings are naturally resistant to oxidation and have a high melting point, providing optimal performance in corrosive environments.

Nickel Alloy Castings

Nickel Alloy castings offer superior mechanical properties, corrosion resistance and thermal stability over a very wide range of temperatures and aggressive environments. Nickel alloy castings offer good resistance to stress corrosion cracking.

Carbon Steel Castings

Carbon Steel castings can be tailored to give a wide range of mechanical properties for general engineer and pressure containing components. Carbon steel castings can be used in a wide variety of low and medium strength applications and provide useful general properties at a relatively low cost.

Heat Resisting Castings

Heat Resisting castings offer elevated thermal stability and corrosion resistance at high temperatures and in demanding environments. They have the capability of performing in conditions above 600° Celsius. Heat resisting castings are higher in alloy content (nickel and chromium) than other types of castings.
