Fettling describes the processes by which crude casting is turned into a quality component. Fettling involves the removal of unwanted elements produced in the cast.
Our insistence on excellence is apparent in our extensively equipped fettling shop. Finishing services for castings include burning, arc-air, cutting and grinding, shot blasting, heat treatment and welding.
The highly skilled workforce at Norton Cast Products ensures that each casting is finished in accordance with our customers’ requirements and meets our stringent quality control standards before reaching final inspection. All welders and welding procedures are qualified in accordance with ASME IX and BS EN ISO 15614-1.
